Virtual Surround Sound
If you have a TV and a speaker system you are on the right way with staying up with the technology, most of the people who buy surround sound systems do not like to buy small systems for their Home Entertainment they like to go big.
There are a lot of people who bought the big surround sound system with the big screen TV and relied that these surround sound speakers are taking up way to much place in your entertainment room after all the smallest big system is the 5.1 which has five speakers and a subwoofer. Other people are tired of all the wires laying around, always tripping over cables and making your entertainment room look sloppy.
Well those people do not have to worry because the technology has stepped in to the next generation of surround sound and created a virtual surround sound system. the virtual surround sound was created to equal the capability of a multi speaker system .
Although the virtual surround sound uses less speakers and wires, the virtual surround sound takes the general sound of the 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound system. there are two main aspects of the virtual surround sound the 2.1 surround sound and the digital sound projection system.
The 2.1 surround sound systems replacement is relatively easy just place the front two speakers on the left and right side of the listener and the subwoofer where you see fit, for the 5.1 there are five speakers and the subwoofer.
As for the virtual surround sounds digital sound projectors it will only use one strip of small speakers which produces the sound and usually the virtual surround sound do not have a subwoofer.
The brilliance behind the technology is that the system works on how people process sound internally, the trick is that a certain gadget is used to manipulate the sound waves to fool the human ear making it think there are more speakers than that there is really present.
There went a lot of research in the virtual surround sound, Charles Moore is a technical ad visor and he believes that the best invention in surround sound systems is that the audience won’t even notice the speakers that are proof of well designed surround sound sound system.
The ultimate goal for the virtual surround sound systems is to reach total invisibility.
